I agree. Churches need to remain true to their mission. Many churches today that are in decline are in such a state because they failed to adhere to the mission. Decades ago people came to church because that was what they were "supposed" to do. The church found it easy and stopped actively training its members and seeking the lost. These churches need to change but only because they need to get back to the mission.

This is not to say that the church needs to look the same as it did in the 1950s. If Norstrom was still taking cash and checks only, they likely wouldn't have as much business as they do today. Churches need to use new tools as they become available in order to fulfill the mission but the core mission should always remain the same.
