Great review of the truth. This is the essence of the advice I gave a pastor of a church we left for this very reason. I wish I had your article at the time to give him. We do our pastors no good if we withhold this info. Then let God work on their heart. I think the following verse shows the true state of a seeker-driven pastor. He is giving a speech, not preaching the truth as he speaks to the "unchurched" for their understanding.
1Co 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

it is hard sometimes to listen to fighting for the faith...not because of what is taught, but because of what the church growth [pastors?] say. this is an example, when a leader stands up in front of a church and declares that a church no longer has any purpose but to get others to join, and not to grow christian in faith and knowledge of Christ.. the veil comes off...it is as if an angel from heaven..[or hell] opens up the veil between us and hell, and you can hear the doctrians of demons dirctly form the demons themselves..since the Lord assended, Satan has cloaked himself as an angel of light, watering down Gods word, distroting and obsuring the Holy Spirit, but this...this is an opened attack on the true church, and his leaders are getting rich and a voice to decive even the elect, if this were possiable. It is pretty apparent that this new attack is designed to go after any Christians who are in these Churches, cut them off from God, and starve them out, until they walk away from their faith...a new and bold tactic from the god of this world.

this is so true and i feel so sad for those are still blind to these facts.
Psalm 123:3
Have mercy on us, O Lord, have mercy on and loving-kindness for us,
for we are exceedingly satiated with contempt.

I wonder what tune these "pastors" would be singing if all the saved (or so-called) church goers decided to take his words as truth and just didn't show up for services any more (of course, leaving their check books at home also), since church "isn't for them."

Broken: 7 ''Christian'' Rules That Every Christian Ought to Break as Often as Possible

There are only two kinds of spirituality in the world. One is false, and one is true. One is the manifestation of the old evil foe who has sent many false spiritualties out into the world, and the other is the holy spirituality found only in faith in the one true God. One is a lie, and one is real. But which is which?
